A city, especially one as big as Berlin,
has many secrets. Somethings can be tracked down, others remain hidden from us

facts.
has many secrets. Somethings can be tracked down, others remain hidden from us
- for the time being; they are, so to speak, passed by in ignorance of the
facts.
However, it is often the inconspicuous things that are worth exploring and which have inspired poets and writers to let their works play here. So let's go: A few of the' Secrets of Berlin' can discover who is joining this literary walk. We venture into the shady barn district and other dusky corners along the old Berlin city border. We experience places of action of trivial, criminal, amusing and world-important events, which are all typical of Berlin. We encounter poetic personalities, well-known and famous, lesser known and (almost) forgotten. Their stories are filled with gangsters - big and small, pitiable minx, dark figures, fairy-tale romantically loyal souls and rebellious elements.
For example, get to know' Rosenemil' and his' Polenliese' or - it should not be missing in any Berlin literature list: The history of Franz Biberkopf. The best thing would be to finally succeed in arousing the desire to read on. Of course, it's not only literature that's at the edge of the road, because there's still a mystery or two around. And since we're already in the locality, we'll get right to come on track them, too. (The city walk is only in German language)
