SCHIRKOA: IN LIES WE TRUST was shot entirely in Unreal Engine, a technology that uses real-time rendering to save time and resources during production. This technology allows the filmmakers great creativity and flexibility while helping to drastically reduce the carbon footprint.

SCHIRKOA: IN LIES WE TRUST celebrated its world premiere at IFFR - International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2024 and its German premiere at Filmfest München 2024. SYNOPSIS SCHIRKOA: IN LIES WE TRUST tells the story of a highly developed, dystopian world in which people are forced to wear paper bags over their heads to avoid conflict. As rumors arise of a mythical land where people live without the paper bags that allow for more individuality, tensions rise. And yet the ignorant, anonymous citizen 197A - a new member of the ruling council - may accidentally spark a revolution.
