Construction site tour with project manager Heike Zeymer, SPSG

The romantic ensemble of the Roman Baths forms the picturesque counterpart to the austere Charlottenhof Palace. The Crown Prince and later King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, who was talented in drawing, himself provided numerous sketches of ideas for the ensemble.

Karl Friedrich Schinkel and Ludwig Persius made the royal vision come true:
From 1829 onwards, the court gardener's house, the adjacent pavilion as a Roman podium temple with a pillar portico, the assistant's house, the large arbor, the arcade hall and finally the Roman baths were built one after the other. The entire ensemble, including the gardens, is in a dilapidated condition and requires basic repairs.

The measure includes the renovation and restoration of the building shells and interiors of the entire ensemble and the associated gardens.

During this tour you will find out what needs to be tackled and receive exciting information about the current planning and renovation status.
