Motto "Knowledge. Share. Discover."
On Friday, April 4, 2025, the first nationwide Night of Libraries will take place. Under the motto "Knowledge. Share. Discover.", Berlin libraries of all kinds - from public and academic to special libraries - will open their doors and invite people to get to know their diverse offerings.

With this initiative, the German Library Association and its 16 regional associations want to draw attention to the valuable services provided by libraries and invite people to experience these places of knowledge in a new way.
The patronage for the first nationwide Night of Libraries will be taken over by Elke Büdenbender, wife of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier
