People, cables, data streams
How do networks work? How do they change our everyday life? On 1,600 square meters, the new permanent exhibition "Das Netz. People, cables, data streams "Insights into the networked world.
Whether telegraphy or hyperlink: exchange information is a human basic necessity.
The exhibition reveals the technology, applications and effects of information and communication networks for large and small explorers.
It asks about the opportunities that networks offer us and the challenges they face. Starting from the Internet as a "network of networks", numerous objects, interactive stations and media provide a lively picture of two hundred years of technical networking.
For the exhibition, as well as other rooms for special exhibitions, events, educational offers and a gastronomic establishment, four further warehouses of the former Anhalter freight station were expanded in the historic Ladestraße of the German Technical Museum.
