Permanent exhibition - Bourgeois life around 1900
Since 1974, the Beletage (1st floor) at Heynstraße 8 in the Pankow district has been home to a special museum location: in the former apartment of chair cane manufacturer Fritz Heyn, bourgeois life in north-east Berlin around 1900 is presented using the example of the Heyn family.
The bourgeois representative rooms have been partially preserved in their original construction (stucco, painting, etc.) and furnishings and can be visited. Other design elements of the monument ensemble, such as the staircase, front garden, courtyard and gardens, are accessible.
Special exhibitions, educational programs and themed events round off the visitor experience at this museum location.
