Japanese film series “AugenBlicke im Schloss”
Hong Kong in the 60s. The British crown colony is a refuge for mainland Chinese who fled the Cultural Revolution. Here, young people with a longing for a better life meet in a very small space. So do the two married couples in the film. Won Kar-wai describes great loneliness, elegance and reserve in magically attractive images.
