The Wet Fish: A Musical Reading

The Moka Efti Orchestra, the original big band from Babylon Berlin, and the actor Benno Fürmann, known from the series, breathe new life into the book based on the internationally successful series hit. "The Wet Fish" transforms the sinful Berlin of the late 1920s into a captivating literary material that is downright addictive.

Volker Kutscher's Gereon Rath series captures the zeitgeist, while Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries and Henk Handloegten create the internationally renowned TV series. The Moka Efti hit "Zu Asche, zu Staub" revives the atmosphere of the Roaring Twenties like wildfire.

Texts from Volker Kutscher's book merge in an idea by Gesa Husemann with the music of the 14-member Moka Efti Orchestra and the impressive reading by Benno Fürmann to create a unique stage show, accompanied by visuals by Arne Jysch.
