A small world on a grand scale - Berlin's largest miniature world
Forum Köpenick invites you to the opening of the magical miniature Christmas world on 25 November at 9.30 am.
On 60 square metres, a detailed miniature landscape unfolds that will amaze visitors of all ages.
This mobile fantasy miniature world - the largest in Berlin, if not in Germany - was created by Holger Erven created.
The artist from Hamburg brought the impressive project to Berlin and modestly calls it his masterpiece with a twinkle in his eye. He was supported by the two globally established companies Lemax and Luville. The result is a combination of their company philosophies and his own personal world of experience. From an early age Erven was fascinated by miniature buildings from an early age, and with the worlds he created from his imagination, he turned his hobby into his profession, always keeping the child in him alive. Erven describes himself as a ‘decorator with a passion’.
The extraordinary project at Forum Köpenick took him more than 1,200 hours, which was beyond any known time frame. When looking at and exploring the layout, you always discover something new and even experienced modellers are amazed. Small rock formations, beautiful village landscapes, its own ski slope, a whole zoo, its own theatre with various performances, a historic Santa railway and, above all, the numerous lovingly arranged details with over 1,500 figures and accessories make this layout so special.
