Rüzgârin Hatiralari | Film & Talk

Aram, an Armenian artist and translator based in Istanbul, is forced to flee political persecution in Turkey in 1943. Stuck in a remote cabin near the Soviet- Georgian border, his past as a genocide survivor floods his mind as his chances of escape and a safer future dwindle with the passage of time.

Arguably the first Turkish film to openly reference the Armenian Genocide, Alper’s haunting period drama is an incisive look at the way historical traumas shape cultural memory and collective identity.
