Following a highly successful theatrical run in Spain and its Colombian premiere this April, La fianza now arrives at the stunning Babylon cinema for its highly anticipated German premiere.


After celebrating her daughter’s sixth birthday, Ana receives an unexpected visit from Walter, a mysterious man looking for her husband, Ricardo, with whom he has unfinished business. What starts as an uncomfortable encounter soon turns into a tense and disturbing situation as Ana uncovers Ricardo’s endless lies and infidelities—along with the real reason behind Walter’s visit: holding Ana and her daughter hostage as collateral while Ricardo closes a dangerous deal.


Gonzalo Perdomo’s feature debut masterfully blends psychological thriller with sharp social satire, exploring corruption, social climbing, class struggles, and gender dynamics. With nods to Teorema and Funny Games, the film skillfully uses confined space and off-screen tension to build a gripping, claustrophobic atmosphere. Juana Acosta and Julián Román deliver electrifying performances in this intense battle of wills.
