Viní Ventania und Vitória Jovem alias Irmãs Brasil are a double existence of trans artists who develop an experimental practice of freedom in the clash of dance, theater and performance – and work, surprise and challenge with transitions in all its literal senses.

Their successful play Eunuchs is now coming to Germany for the first time, reflecting on historical castration processes, transition technologies and gender performance. At the center of this pleasurable destruction of patriarchy and the heteronormative matrix is the dismantling of Western art conventions and our assumptions about the relationship between audience and performers.

They trace the poetics of trans-sisterhood and ancestry to create alternative narrations that resist the dominance of violence and authority in our histories. Manifesting their desire to live in the ruins of our toxic present, they develop a fleshy ritual that also invites the supernatural into the space of the theatre to celebrate existences at risk.
