This year's edition of HumanLab brings art, science and technology into an exciting dialogue to open up new perspectives on the future of being human. From 21 February to 31 March 2025, the Quantum Galerie on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin will open its doors to bring to life the fascinating interface between humans, technology, and the body and mind.

HumanLab 2025 is an interdisciplinary exhibition that highlights the fascinating connection between humans and technology.

With avant-garde neurosensory installations, inspiring audiovisual compositions and immersive stagings, the exhibition builds a bridge between art and scientific progress. Visitors can expect a unique dialogue between biological and technological realities, accompanied by panel talks, short films and interactive formats. Thanks to the works of internationally acclaimed artists, a space is created that celebrates innovation and creativity. A first glimpse at the programme offers a taste of the highlights of this year's edition.

Programme highlights

Alpha Wave Experience brings together neurotechnology, design and art to create multisensory experiences that stimulate the mind and senses in a unique way. The Paiser collective, which consists of experts in creative direction, neuroscience, industrial engineering, 3D sound design, music production and generative art, created The Oracle, a rotating light installation commissioned by Fabrice Bousteau, editor-in-chief of Beaux Arts Magazine.
Alongside these works, a wide range of other contributions from around the world will be presented. Those who already know the Quantum Gallery will hardly recognise it: to transform the space into a venue for this year's edition of HumanLab, it is undergoing a comprehensive transformation by renowned interior designers.

An immersive experience

The space is being transformed into an immersive landscape where the boundaries between art, technology and science become blurred. Every corner invites visitors to experience the symbiosis of humans and technical innovation, consciousness and creativity, up close and personal. At the same time, it is a place for dialogue and participation. The accompanying programme includes panel discussions, interactive workshops, live performances and other participatory formats that invite visitors to delve deeper into the topics of the exhibition.

With works by Ryoichi Kurokawa

The world-renowned Japanese media artist Ryoichi Kurokawa is known for his spectacular audiovisual installations that combine light, sound, and movement in stunning ways. He sees the relationship between humans, the environment, and technology as a dynamic interplay: while humans adapt to nature, they also change it through technological innovations.
In collaboration with the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), Kurokawa has transformed data from quantum mechanics into works of art. With his audiovisual installation ad/ab Atom, he takes visitors into the world of nanodimensions, where scientific data is transformed into fascinating artistic compositions.
