Film & Talk
After reaching a near fatal collapse following the breakdown of the Soviet Union, Armenian cinema has gradually restored its footing thanks in large part to the vitality of the non-fiction genre. Embracing the liberties of low-budget filmmaking, a circle of young documentarians is reaching deep into the unseen pockets of contemporary Armenian society to address pressing subjects through an array of artistically experimental and politically-conscious approaches.
