The weekly family Sunday Volkswagen Group Art4All Family Sunday at the Hamburger Bahnhof offers open studios, tours, workshops, art laboratories and much more. The Hamburger Bahnhof invites all visitors to discover the museum and art together with the family, whether related, living together or as an adopted family, to ask critical questions and to experiment with artistic techniques.

Group Art4All Family Sunday
Families make the museum their temporary home: Sunday walks lead in and around the building, people chill, dance and dress up in the Rieckhallen and build a collective room installation.
The free program is accessible without registration and with a museum ticket at a reduced family price on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Since April 2018, Volkswagen Group Art4All has invited visitors to the Hamburger Bahnhof to discover new approaches to the works in the collection and the current exhibitions. Educational offers and an artistic supporting program, which are aimed at a broad audience, encourage this. From September 2023, the initiative will continue with the Family Sunday at the Hamburger Bahnhof until December 2025.

Participation including admission to all exhibitions: €10 per family (2 people, including 1 person under 18), €15 per family (from 3 people, including 1 person under 18). Admission is free every first Sunday of the month as part of Museum Sunday.

Here we go - everything is great! Here we go - everything is big!
On the first family Sunday, everything is thought big and made big. Whether small or large families - everyone is cordially invited to celebrate the start of the new program at the Hamburger Bahnhof! In the Rieckhallen studio, art is made with the whole body, or a permanently changing giant sculpture made of cardboard and adhesive tape is built together.

Admission is free every first Sunday of the month! All forms of families are welcome in the Rieckhallenatelier. The family specials offer a varied program from the best offs of the family Sundays: There is writing, drawing, dancing, playing and everything moves. Feel at home, use the rooms and enjoy the Sunday together in the museum!

Programs that get everyone and everything moving. From thoughts to legs, nothing stays still! What does the exhibition look like from the ground? How can you move between the artworks? On this Sunday, works of art are viewed from different perspectives on a parcours. Go exploring in and around the house or dance art in the kids' club.

Offers to chill out for the slow and lazy and those who want to become one. Hang, lie, sleep, chill; anything is possible on this lazy sunday. Make a seat cushion out of old clothes and take it to the reading corner or to lounge in the exhibition during a lazy tour.

Who has and who needs space? Families occupy the museum. How can you move through a museum and feel at home? An audio walk examines the physical experience in space and translates it into words. The “Hello Stickers” make everyone feel welcome. Rewrite the exhibition texts in the text workshop and stick them directly on the wall. And brings materials from home for an endlessly growing sculpture.

Dress up! Dress Up!
Dress up in the museum? That works! Whether square, sheep or spoon: Come to the museum in disguise or put together an outfit. Design an invitation card, have your parents or children do your makeup and off you go to the pre-Halloween party!
