Hand printing techniques, mixed media

Gesine Wenzel took a picture of her garbage every day in 2018 after she had spent some time artistically dealing with the topic of waste.

The result is 365 fascinating, sometimes enigmatic, almost elegant pictures with everyday objects shortly before they were thrown away.

Gesine Wenzel works experimentally, in series, with colors, hand printing techniques, mixed media and preferably with words.

At the opening on June 6, 2024 there will be music, a short reading by Joachim Wenzel and freshly baked bread.

Laudation: Ulrike Meyer

Opening times: every Wed & Sat from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. during the open church

Exhibition duration: June 6th to July 31st

At the finissage on July 31st there will be a reading at 7 p.m.:
“Before the Silence” - texts from the middle of society

Gesine and Joachim Wenzel read their own stories, texts and short poetry

Many works have been created over time on socio-political topics and are (unfortunately) still relevant.

Wenzels have been literary for years, whether at public readings, seminars and, many will remember, at Wenzels Gartenwelt.

An evening that stimulates thought and conversation.
