Climate-proof trees of the future and plants for garden, terrace and balcony
Plants for gardens, terraces and balconies are the focus of the garden market on the historic Späth site. In the tree quarter, many rarities and special topiaries can be found among the 100 tree varieties with small crowns for the home and city garden. Climate-resistant trees of the future such as iron tree, Turkey oak, field maple, amber tree and red maple line the path. Demonstrations on planting pruning fruit trees flank a special show of flowering woody plants.
Anecdotes, music and a great children's programme
As company founder Christoph Späth, rhyming narrator Theo Theodor walks around the historic grounds. He entertains the guests with anecdotes from the company's more than 300-year history. Live music creates an upbeat mood and invites people to dance on the festival lawn. The Monbijou Theater and storyteller Ellen Luckas perform open-air in the House of Trees.
Spring market at Späth with around 100 exhibitors
The garden market "Späth'er Frühling" is a spring festival with about 100 exhibitors, show gardens and garden tips, plant advice and horticultural discoveries, arts and crafts and decoration ideas, culinary specialties and specialties for home and yard, garden and kitchen.
Visitors enjoy a gardening weekend with a walk amidst colourful spring splendour.
