The doll and mask collection is the heart and memory of the Department of Contemporary Puppetry Art. It was built up over several decades, is constantly being expanded and is an indispensable part of regular study operations.

During the tour through the doll collection, which lasts approximately 1 hour, visitors get an impression of the historical holdings. You will also learn what contemporary puppetry actually is - what makes this art form so attractive and where the “magic” that comes from dolls and objects begins. The fundus tour also offers prospective students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the genre so that they may soon be able to bring the figures waiting in the fundus to life themselves.

You will be guided through the doll and mask collection by a team of lecturers and students from the Contemporary Puppetry Department. The number of participants is limited to 15 people.

For a group of 7 people or more, it is also possible to book a tour outside the offered time - to do this, please contact the Department of Contemporary Puppetry: puppenspiel@hfs-berlin.de.

In addition to fund management, the department also offers an advanced program for school classes and youth clubs. To do this, please also contact the department administration by email: puppenspiel@hfs-berlin.de
