From August 29 to September 1, 2024, the Guthmann Academy, in cooperation with the Spandau Cultural Office, is commemorating Max Slevogt's murals in the Neukladow garden pavilion as part of the exhibition “Forgotten Memory - Pavilion RELOADED”.

Three artists have been invited who have explored the estate park and its significant cultural history in 2024 and whose paintings, drawings and installations will be on display in the estate park and manor house every day from 12 noon to 5 pm during the specified period.

The works of Elke Burkert, Paula Carralero Bierzynksa and Birgit Szepanski will enter into a dialog with the eleven original collotype prints of the so-called Cassirer cassette, which the art dealer and publisher Paul Cassirer had made of Slevogt's murals in 1920, thus preserving their appearance from oblivion.

On the occasion of the finissage on 1 September 2024, Dr. Miriam-Esther Owesle will place the exhibition theme in its art-historical context and invite visitors to the lecture “A Garden of Eden on the Havel - Max Slevogt and Neukladow” at 2 pm in the music hall.

The exhibition “Forgotten Memory - Pavilion RELOADED” will take place from July 28 to September 1, 2024 and can be visited daily between 12 and 5 p.m. in the Gutspark and Gutshaus Neukladow, Neukladower Allee 9-12, 14089 Berlin (bus X 34, 134, 697, BVG ferry 10).

The project VERKNÜPFUNGEN - KunstNetzWerk Neukladow by Guthmann Akademie gUG (haftungsbeschränkt) takes place in cooperation with the Kulturamt Spandau and is funded by the Fonds Dezentrale Kulturarbeit des Bezirks Spandau.
