A Timeless Journey of Culture, Society and Mobility
It is currently also focusing on the theme of iconic travel and, through selected exhibits, demonstrates why travel continues to fascinate people to this day—and how automotive mobility, in particular, has made these experiences possible for many in the first place.
Icons at DRIVE
Icons are figureheads for cultural and technical achievements that have also played a decisive role in shaping values and norms in the modern era. This includes the T1 as well as the Lamborghini Countach and the Porsche 911—these exhibits on display at DRIVE are symbols of their time that continue to have a lasting impact on the mobility landscape to this day.
At the same time, works by artists such as Andy Warhol and famous design objects like the Egg Chair by designer and architect Arne Jacobsen open up new perspectives on culture and society.
Particularly impressive is the interactive immersive space “Icon’s World.” Following a visual journey through time, the immersive landscape offers visitors a glimpse into the near future.
The multimedia projections bring to life the visions of mobility, architectural worlds, and technologies that will give rise to the icons of tomorrow. They engage visitors with touch-sensitive buttons and invite them to communicate with “IDA,” an empathetic assistant based on artificial intelligence.
