By Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay in the acclaimed Schönbrunn version
In recent years, the new spectacular Viennese open-air production of ELISABETH has enchanted over 100,000 visitors in the cour d'honneur at Schönbrunn Palace. Now this version can be admired for the first time as a large-scale theater version on selected stages in Germany, including the Theater des Westens in Berlin.
ELISABETH - The Musical
The audience is whisked away into a world full of emotion, but also intrigue and passion in this rousing semi-staged performance of the worldwide success by Vereinigte Bühnen Wien.
The large orchestra is placed in the middle of the stage for the first time and, together with the star-studded main roles - in original costumes, of course - ensures an even stronger focus on the actors, their wonderful songs and the moving fates of their characters.
The acclaimed production by renowned director Gil Mehmert promises a special experience for all musical lovers. The two authors were also enthusiastic about the idea of this new realization of their work: “We are really delighted that the Schönbrunn version of our play will finally be seen in Germany. The team has created a really touching and intense theater version that is well worth seeing,” Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay are convinced.
With its powerful music, opulent costumes and thrilling choreography, the captivating story of Empress Elisabeth of Austria can once again be experienced in a new and authentic way in this exciting production!
