A very special Christmas market is the Lichtenrader light market, which is organized by the district office Tempelhof-Schöneberg. This takes place every year on the 1st Sunday of Advent between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and has found a wonderful location at the Giebelpfuhlteich between the "Lichtenrader Damm" and the street "Im Domstift".

Around 1000 associations, initiatives and non-profit organisations offer arts and crafts, ceramics, wooden goods, beekeeping products, nostalgic items, toys, handicrafts and handiwork. Numerous stalls with home-baked goods, mulled wine, coffee and cocoa, soup, sausages, barbecued meat and much more are on offer.
The Lichtenrader Lichtermarkt is not profit-oriented. The surplus income is used for social purposes.
