CELEBRATE AT THE GATE

Tens of thousands of visitors will once again celebrate the turn of the year on Europe's biggest festival mile and together with the hottest acts on the big stage.

In addition to acclaimed stars such as Maite Kelly, Alex Christensen, Bausa, Sarah Engels and many more on the stage in front of the Brandenburg Gate, the Straße des 17. Juni up to the Victory Column offers a party programme that leaves nothing to be desired.

You can experience the following on the big stage: Eurodance visionary Alex Christensen, the Icelandic funky dance-pop star Ásdís, Bausa with his most successful German-language hip-hop song of all time hip-hop song of all time, the British singer-songwriter-poet Chris de Sarandy, The Voice coach and Happy Music maker Kamrad, the voice of the film Woodwalkers and pop newcomer Loi, the celebrated pop queen Maite Kelly, the Norwegian twin brother stars Marcus & Martinus, the Swiss ESC winner Nemo, ‘Völlig losgelöst’ legend Peter Schilling, pop hit star Sarah Engels and ‘Hold me now’ all-time favourite Johnny Logan.

The new, 33-metre-high Ferris wheel invites you to enjoy breathtaking views high above Berlin on New Year's Eve, the legendary fireworks display with the world champions of the Pyronale and artistic video mappings in cooperation with the Festival of Lights provide visual goosebumps and over 90 food and drink trucks offer a variety of culinary delights.

In the past, the New Year's Eve party at the Brandenburg Gate was considered one of the biggest New Year's Eve parties in the world. A special highlight is the spectacular firework display at midnight. It is not yet known whether and in what form the New Year's Eve party will take place in 2024. According to initial information, this year's celebration will have capacity for around 65,000 people. Further information on admission, programme and capacity will follow closer to the event.

The event area between the Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate is around 2.5 kilometres long. Around 90 food trucks and other catering options from all over the world will be available on the party mile. There will also be a 33 metre high Ferris wheel. You are not allowed to bring your own food or alcoholic drinks.

Tickets for the New Year's Eve party at the Brandenburg Gate have been available since 14 November 2024. Regular tickets for the party cost 20 euros. Interested parties must choose a venue when purchasing tickets: If you mainly want to watch the stage programme, choose the ‘Platz des 18. März / Lindenrondell’ area. Those who prefer to ride the Ferris wheel and party at the atmosphere islands, on the other hand, will find what they are looking for on Straße des 17. This security fee will be used to finance the security concept, among other things.

For security reasons, there will be identity checks at the entrance again this year. Fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited. All pointed and sharp objects, as well as objects that can be used as weapons, may also not be taken onto the event site. The same applies to large rucksacks and bags, glass containers and cans as well as selfie sticks and professional camera and sound equipment.

The New Year's Eve ticket for ‘Celebrate at the Gate’ offers access to the party mile from 4.00 pm - 2.00 am. Admission will once again be exclusively at the Victory Column. In addition to the Victory Column, it will also be possible to exit at Yitzhak Rabin Strasse and the Brandenburg Gate. Further information on the public areas can be found at silvester-in-berlin.de.

The highest security standards such as personalised tickets, an outer security ring, fencing around the event site, bag checks, a ban on fireworks and other security measures will ensure that the event runs smoothly.

The New Year's Eve party at the Brandenburg Gate will be broadcast live by ZDF and will once again be hosted by Andrea Kiewel and Johannes B. Kerner.
