With the exhibition Caught in a Landslide, the n.b.k. and the KINDL - Center for Contemporary Art present current works by international artists who were awarded the Berlin Senate's 2024 Fine Arts grant. The presentation spans two institutions and includes the media of video, installation, painting, sculpture, photography and performance.
The exhibition title, which is borrowed from a line from Bohemian Rhapsody (1975) by the British rock band Queen, evokes the exhibition's recurring motifs such as spaces in between, transitions and threshold states. Last but not least, the exhibition title also refers to the landslide-like restructuring of the Berlin cultural scene and the feeling of uncertainty that accompanies many artists with a view to the future.
