Limit experiences - a discussion
Eighty years after Germany's liberation from Nazi rule and a good 35 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he wants to explore what the former East-West border looks like today.
The 76-year-old plans to walk the 1,400 km route, engaging in conversation with people on both the eastern and western sides of the former border. He also wants to explore the question of why new borders are emerging that are reminiscent of the "Iron Curtain" during the Cold War.
Before Günter Polauke sets off at the beginning of June, he will speak at the Theater Ost about his life before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reasons why he wants to embark on the border trail again.
