Filmscreening and discussion

Following the success of last year’s spotlights, Generation and Berlinale Shorts return to the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation. On December 19, Generation will present the festival favourite Sieger sein in a morning program for school classes and other groups.

"Sieger sein" focuses on Mona, who fled Syria with her Kurdish family and ends up attending an elementary school in Berlin-Wedding. It's a tough environment, including in the girls' soccer team Mona joins, where everyone plays against each other. But as the saying goes:
“Teamwork makes the dream work”.
