the Wagner/Kern organ in St. Marien
This year, the Berlin Organ Summer invites you to enjoy unique sound experiences again - for the third time. Five renowned organists present the diversity and expressiveness of the organ in five concerts.
With individual interpretations and personal musical focuses, they make the instrument sound in their own unique way.
Be there and discover the "queen of instruments" in all its facets!
The organ, built by master Joachim Wagner, was officially accepted in 1723 - two years after its completion. Some of the original organ pipes from this period have been carefully restored and are playable again. As the oldest surviving church organ pipes in Berlin, they are among the few remaining 18th century sound witnesses in the city.
