Nach einer wahren Geschichte • Selimović

"Alfreda Noncia Markowska - a heroine of resistance" is an educational project that uses theatrical means for anti-discrimination work. Romani children and young people, adult performers and an artistic team deal with the biography of a heroine.

A heroine who saved more than 50 children from being murdered by taking them from their mothers on the deportation train to Auschwitz as a forced labourer or by finding them at mass shooting sites and hiding them in her home.

An important story of resistance and survival, which, especially in times of a shift to the right, provides an opportunity for dialogue on history and the present, civil society courage and action critical of racism.
