Students from the Institute for Art in Context at the University of the Arts Berlin and pupils from the Thomas Mann Gymnasium have been working intensively on one of the most prominent works, the Dancer’s Fountain in the garden of the Georg Kolbe Museum.
During the afternoon, the school project The Fountain will be presented, and the students will invite you to try out their artistic mediation formats and to witness their interventions.
Through artistic practices, challenges and opportunities in art mediation were tested and rethought. These collaborations stem from the museum’s educational work, which shapes the conversation with visitors not only as a dialogue from an internal museum perspective. Experts in their own right, from different backgrounds, and artists jointly contribute to the current discourse with the audience. This shift in perspective from the speakers keeps the practice of unlearning alive within the museum.
With artistic interventions by students of the Institute for Art in Context: Christian Mauricio Candela Rodriguez, Mika Ebbing, Tomas Espinosa, Catherine Rose Evans, Schokofeh Kamiz, Renata Puelma, Georg Scherlin, Jethro Tang.
