Café am Neuen See

Under Trees in the Tiergarten

In the heart of the Tiergarten park, this café-restaurant is located on a lake under tall trees and draws people in during the summer with its beer garden atmosphere. Grilled specialities are served with refreshing beverages both inside at the café's beautifully set tables and in the beer garden. When the weather turns cooler, the spot is transformed into a candlelit refuge in the heart of Berlin, making it one of the most romantic places in the city to enjoy a quiet beer after work.

The big, deep-green heart of Berlin

The Tiergarten is a great green park that stretches from Potsdamer Platz to the government quarter, from the Brandenburg Gate to Berlin Zoo. Three kilometres long and a kilometre wide, it is an expanse of grass, trees, lakes and ponds and memorials to past times. You can even take a boat across the Neuer See – just rent one at the café and explore the lake for yourself. Or you could walk 10 minutes through the park to the famous Siegessäule, the victory column at the Großer Stern roundabout.
