German beer culture
From Berlin breweries to beer gardens
Berliner Weisse – this is probably the most famous Berlin beer. But Berlin’s beer culture has lots more on offer too. For instance, you can visit one of the many small breweries who produce their own craft beer. Or spend a sunny afternoon in one of the idyllically located beer gardens.
Are you looking for a change from the usual beers or would you simply like to try out some new varieties of beer? Then you’ve come to the right place. Berlin’s craft beer and micro brewery scene is huge. You can also visit many of these breweries and watch the beer being brewed on a guided tour – and you can of course taste-test the beers afterwards. Some breweries even have their own restaurant or beer garden where you can relax and unwind.
There is an enormous selection of beer gardens in Berlin where you can enjoy the taste of the Berlin summer. Because there’s almost nothing more pleasant than savouring a cold drink with friends on a warm evening under the dappled shade of the trees. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, complement the beer with a delicious snack and escape from everyday life for a few hours.
