Berlin not only has delicious food, you can also eat out in style. Every month we look for the best, the tastiest and the most outstanding food spots for you.

1. Curry36

Our first food spot in June is one of the best-known snack bars in Berlin. The fame of Curry36 extends well beyond the borders of the capital city. What is on offer here? As the name suggests, the good old Currywurst and other hearty meals, such as Knackwurst sausages and chips. The Currywurst, which has virtually achieved cult status in Berlin, can be enjoyed everyday between 9:00 and 5:00 at Mehringdamm 36 and at the Zoologischen Garten.

2. Kiez99

Kiez99 Village Market is a real culinary treat. The new food market, held every weekend on the old railway repair works site (RAW-Gelände), caters for every taste. The variety on offer ranges from tacos to Cantonese specialities all the way to crêpes. Indulge yourselves by visiting the food market next Saturday or Sunday between 12:00 and 22:00.

3. LeBuffet in the KaDeWe

The following phenomenon will no doubt be all too familiar to many: you are in the middle of shopping and suddenly feel famished. But there is no need to worry, the KaDeWe is prepared and has a varied and international range of food on offer. An excellent place to have a drink is the LeBuffet Bar, which offers a variety of cocktails and other refreshing drinks. Its location, in the sleek and elegant winter garden on the 7th floor, provides a fantastic view of Berlin.

4. Oak & Ice

Summer time is ice cream time! Home-made juices, cakes and ice creams are available in Schönhauser Allee at Oak & Ice. If you have never eaten ice cream in a croissant, then you need to go to Prenzlberg. If this is too sweet for you, you can also savour a vitamin bomb in the form of cabbage, celery and cucumber juice.
