Heinrich Zille, Otto Nagel and Maxim Gorki dined here. Many claim that Napoleon sat at the regulars’ table in front of the 200 year old majolica tiled stove. Regardless of whether or not this is true, “Zur letzten Instanz” is without a doubt the oldest restaurant in Berlin. The atmosphere is rustic, with many drawings and paintings that tell stories from way back when.
