Since the early 1990s, Donna Brown has been bringing an authentic gospel sound to Berlin. Under her direction, the traditional gospel concert in the Apostel-Paulus-Kirche is a unique experience every year. The repertoire ranges from classics such as "Amazing Grace", "Down By The Riverside" and "The First Noel" to their own Christmas medleys. Experience the power of gospel. 4. A Swinging Christmas with Tom Gaebel & His Orchestra
Start the Advent season on a high note. Tom Gaebel, Germany's best-known big band entertainer, brings a breath of fresh air to the traditional Christmas season with "A Swinging Christmas". Look forward to a glittering Christmas show in the Admiralspalast and the extraordinary voice of Tom Gaebel. The programme includes American Christmas classics such as "White Christmas", "Jingle Bells" and "Let It Snow" - interpreted by Gaebel in a rousing easy-listening sound, in the style of legends such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. It doesn't always have to be "O Tannenbaum"!

5. Vienna Boys' Choir
If you prefer classical music, then you shouldn't miss the Vienna Boys' Choir's visit to Berlin. With their Christmas programme "Alle Jahre wieder", the traditional Viennese choir will bring a Christmas atmosphere to the Konzerthaus on Saturday, 14 December from 11 am. The programme will feature works by Benjamin Britten, Anton Bruckner, Joseph Haydn, Engelbert Humperdinck and other composers, as well as classic Christmas carols such as "Hirtenterzett", "Weihnachtsjodler aus den Alpen", "Hark! The Angels sing", "O Tannenbaum" and, of course, "Alle Jahre wieder".

6. Chris Hopkins: Swinging Christmas
For jazz fans, Chris Hopkins is bringing the perfect Christmas concert to Berlin this year. Together with singer Shaunette Hildabrand, the acclaimed jazz pianist and alto saxophonist will present his "Swinging Christmas" live at the Schlosspark Theater on 14 December. Inspired by jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, Hopkins and his band will take you on a cosy, nostalgic trip into the tradition of US swing and jazz - with a first-class line-up including Engelbert Wrobel (clarinet/saxophone), Rolf Marx (guitar), Henning Gailing (bass) and Oliver Mewes (drums).

With "Mehr Lametta", Maybebop hit the spot for the Christmas season. In their cleverly formulated lyrics, the four-piece male a cappella choir debunk even the best-packaged Christmas clichés.
