Punch Line Club in the basement
At the Theater am Potsdamer Platz, you literally go down to the basement to laugh: the Punch Line Club Berlin invites German-speaking and international stand-up stars to the stage in the basement. In addition to comedy, you can also experience theatre, concerts and other live entertainment formats here.
From no man's land to a lively centre
The Theatre at Potsdamer Platz opened in 1999 and became part of the architectural redevelopment of the neighbourhood. Where the Berlin Wall once ran and wasteland dominated, urban life now pulsates with The Playce, cafés, shops and the Centre at Potsdamer Platz - a place that impressively combines history and modernity.
Berlinale at Potsdamer Platz
When the Berlin International Film Festival begins in February, the theatre is transformed into the Berlinale Palast. The imposing staircase inside can be admired through the 35 metre high glass façade, and the stars of international cinema celebrate their premieres on the 8 x 18 metre screen with three film projectors. Then it's spotlight on - red carpet rolled out!
