Traditional blacksmithing and high-quality products
Berlin's oldest blacksmith's shop is located on Richardplatz in Rixdorf. The forge fire has been burning here for almost 400 years and is now kept alight by a small workshop.
The passionate team, consisting of Katharina and Martin, wants to contribute to preserving the old blacksmith's craft with this small business. The quaint Rixdorf with its historic buildings offers an ideal environment for this. Today, jewellery and high-quality kitchen knives especially are made in the Rixdorf blacksmith's shop.
In addition, the artistic blacksmith's shop offers its services to replace missing parts of historical fences or fittings. Last but not least, the blacksmith professionals regularly hold workshops where you can swing the hammer and learn how to do some blacksmithing yourself. In addition to basic courses, more comprehensive knife and axe forging courses are also on offer.
