Prenzlauer Berg for LGBTI*

Charming and Laid Back

The former working-class district Prenzlauer Berg, with its older housing stock, offers its own special charm. The area around Kollwitzplatz and Helmholtzplatz is especially impressive with its splendid stucco facades and large wood-framed windows.

In summer, life pulsates throughout the numerous cafés and playgrounds. Gays and lesbians taking a stroll here should check out the historic café November. Sowohl Als Auch is also recommended for its great selection of cakes. If you want something a bit more alternative, you might want to check out Wohnzimmer with its interior reminiscent of a flea market. In the evening, the LGBTQ+-community meets at the queer bar Marietta or Greifbar.
