Open house with winter festival at Silent Green

Christmas market in Berlin on 30 November and 1 December 2024

Experience the start of the Advent season in the unique ambience of the silent green Kulturquartier. The Open House with Winter Festival offers a diverse mix of concerts, art and culinary highlights and transforms the historic site into a place of encounters and enjoyment.

A feast for all the senses

The winter festival at silent green Kulturquartier presents a varied programme: visitors can stroll through a market with handmade and upcycled products from the region, enjoy concerts and take part in historical guided tours. Film enthusiasts can enjoy screenings such as "Best of Pictoplasma 2024" or "The discovery of Germany by the inhabitants of Mars" (1916) with commentary by Britta Lange in the Betonhalle studio cinema. The children's programme "Großes Kino, Kleines Kino" will be shown in the Kuppelhalle.

Culinary & Artistic variety

The Mars-Küche spoils you with winter delicacies, and for the little ones there are craft activities and a homemade stand for gingerbread and stick bread on the meadow. The Christmas market is spread across the concrete hall and the studios. In Atelier 1 and 2 you will find beautiful and unusual items curated by Bélaplume Design Markt. Crafts will be made in Atelier 3. And in the concrete hall, Berlin shops and designers present their gift ideas, silk design, ceramics and porcelain, candles, graphics, photos and books, jewellery, hand-woven and handmade items, haoris and kimonos from Japan, vase plants and, of course, records and music to go with the many concerts.

Cultural highlights and concerts

The Open House with Winterfest is more than just a Christmas market - it's a cultural experience. With concerts by artists such as Sleepwalk the Dog, Matching Outfits, Renaissance Woman and Kota No Uta as well as DJ sets by !K7 Music, musical diversity is guaranteed. A family reading on Saturday at 3.30 pm with Drehbühne Berlin in the Kuppelhalle rounds off the programme.
