by Ori Lenkinski feat. DanceVerse von Annabelle Dvir

In this solo, dancer Ori Lenkinski reflects on her experiences in life and on stage. Am I still a dancer? With 24 years of stage experience, now a wife and mother, always trying to be a good person, this central question occupies her at home, in the studio and on stage.

Ori Lenkinski uses text, video, props, movement, comedy, audience participation and more in her work. Her choreographic language conveys themes that directly interest, disturb and inspire her. But with such a range of styles, can her work be categorised as dance?

She was told that if you want to do something new, it should be more dance. This became both a stimulus and an inspiration. She began to wonder what a dance piece she had created might look like.

She found inspiration for her approach in the work of Trisha Brown and then began to work with improvised movement and text, developing a reflection on her life through dance. The result is a solo, a deconstructed puzzle assembled from the pieces that make her the dancer she is.
