After the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, Sohrab became a confidant for the German-Israeli author Katharina Höftmann Ciobotaru. This despite the fact that Iran, a country where approximately 200,000 Israelis have their roots, has been the Jewish state's greatest enemy since the Islamic Revolution. Their courageous correspondence is at times highly political, at times very intimate—and always touching.
