We show the small world in a big way

From April 9 to 13, 2025, the Zeiss Planetarium will celebrate the 400th anniversary of the microscope – a groundbreaking invention that, like the telescope, revolutionized our understanding of scientific connections.

During the "Invisible Worlds" theme days, the audience will experience an exciting journey from the microcosm of life to the infinite vastness of the universe through workshops, full-dome programs, lectures, and live performances.

With the help of the microscopes installed in the planetarium hall and live projections, the invisible will be made visible together: What is hidden in the surroundings? Visitors are invited to bring a glass of water from their local pond, a sponge from their own kitchen, or other interesting objects to examine together.

Together with instructors from the Glass Laboratory and the Marzahn Open-Air Laboratory, participants will embark on a journey of discovery into the microcosm. In the "The World in Detail" workshop, they will support you in preparing specimens for the fulldome.

On April 9 and 12, with co-host Clarissa Corrêa da Silva, known from the television show "Wissen macht Ah!" (Knowledge Makes You Amazing!).
