The small village of Lietzenburg is the starting point of the tour and the start is at the old village green at the former Villa Kogge. From there, the history of Charlottenburg is revealed, first at the mighty town hall on Otto-Suhr-Allee, from where it continues through Schustehrusstraße to the oldest building in the city.

At the historic town center, Gierkeplatz, with its old church and schoolhouse, the urban development of Charlottenburg is explained, after it initially only consisted of a palace belonging to Queen Sophie Charlotte. The less crowded northern part of Wilmersdorfer Straße is the next stop and from there it goes past the old hospital to the "Wet Triangle" on Schloßstraße.

The tour follows Schloßstraße as the main axis of the city to Villa Oppenheim and ends at Luisenplatz on the "Preußische Meile".
