This year, the Christmas concert of the St. Laurentius Kantorei under the direction of Jãnis Pēlmanis and the Concertino Berlin orchestra with soloists will perform one of the most important sacred works in music history.

Georg Friedrich Handel's "Messiah" (Mozart version), with which the composer musically honors the biblical message of Jesus' work and in turn uses the music effectively to trace the form and subject of the Christian faith. It is precisely for this reason that the work is suitable for Advent.
