Les Adelphes de la Nuit

This is the story of Candide, but also of many others. Candide has just arrived in Paris and knows nothing about chemsex when he meets Ilyes. He is unaware of the euphoria of the first trips, nor of the long fog that enshrouds the comedowns. Candide discovers the elation and then the loneliness associated with consuming the products.

During this initiatory fall, the young man collects partners and loses sight of his friends, family and future prospects.
His sex parties, which extend to entire days, become both the source and only escape from his isolation.

‘Amours Chimiques’ (Chemical Love Affairs) portrays an adventurous but vulnerable part of the LGBTQIAP+ community and lets sex workers, trans people, young gay and bisexual men, and their social workers have their say.

About the collective:

Founded in 2022, the collective Les Adelphes de la Nuit was born out of the desire to combine the worlds of Corentin Hennebert and Joseph Wolfsohn. This collective reflects its first project: queer.
What they defend through this first production is intended to showcase their values: inclusivity, the fight against discrimination in all its forms, commitment and the initiatives of the collective.
Their theatre is a theatre of the present, embedded in reality and presenting it through the channels it considers useful and relevant. Adelphe stands for sisterhood and brotherhood at the same time. The night is the place we come from, where we work, the moment we live in. Nothing dark, only sparks.
