The third edition of Le Lampenfieber, which will take place from November 6 to 10, 2024 at the Ballhaus Ost and the Theater unterm Dach (TuD) in Berlin, promises to be a festival that focuses on history, identity and memory in an innovative and artistic way.

The festival will open on November 6 at the Ballhaus Ost with the performance "La Fracture" by and with the talented Yasmine Yahiatène. This artist, who has already received several prestigious awards, such as the Youth Prize of the Fast Forward Festival 2022 and the Prix Lycéen of the Impatience Festival 2023, deals in her work with her father's Kabyle roots and his escape to France.

In "La Fracture", Yahiatène sheds light on a complex Franco-Algerian identity shaped by colonialism, loss and collective memory. Her story combines personal family memories with historical aspects and reflects on topics such as football, alcohol and the colonial break.

One of the festival's particular strengths is its multilingualism:

The performances are subtitled in German, English and French, so that the international focus of the festival is also linguistically underlined.
