About density and diversity in the city

Berlin is crowded and colourful. While some find the hustle and bustle of the big city alluring, others regard it as a source of conflict – and take it as a reason to retreat from the stresses and strains of urban coexistence. Dense living conditions and diversity can improve the quality of life, but they also increase social stress and inequality within the city. How can we ensure that they instead become resources that strengthen urban society?

Join us at this event that’s part of the “Your Emotional City” project to discuss the effects of rising urban congestion and what diversity means in our cities. How does a diverse society shape urban coexistence and what opportunities and challenges are associated with it? Your perspectives and experiences are wanted!

The event is part of the citizen science project “Your Emotional City” in cooperation with the Interdisziplinäres Forum Neurourbanistik e.V., the university hospital Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
