The successful exhibition ZWISCHENWELTEN reopens with a new programme. This time, Axel Neumann takes his audience into the world of oversized fountain pen paintings. He presents highlight excerpts from his monumental works and provides insights into the long process of their production.

Impressively staged with light, visitors can establish an authentic connection with his mysterious worlds of colour and their almost inexplicable luminosity.

Axel Neumann found his way to painting through an emotional borderline experience: As part of a professional self-experiment, he isolated himself in darkness and silence for three weeks. The deprivation of stimuli triggered a flood of inner images, which he has been tirelessly transferring to paper ever since.

He invites visitors to trust their imagination. The imagination is one of man's most impressive tools; it is a reservoir of happiness and perhaps even an active shaper of the future. And it is the key to our inner life. And that is what he is all about: he wants to make people aware of their inner potential again.

On the day of the opening, on 13 September at 7 pm, Axel Neumann and his wife, curator Patrizia Neumann, will give a joint introduction to the history of fountain pen painting and tell exciting first-hand stories.

They will repeat their presentation every Friday at 7 pm.
