The 75th anniversary of the convening of the first German Bundestag will be commemorated in a festive atmosphere on 6 and 7 September with a citizens' festival around the Bundestag on the banks of the River Spree and a “Day of Insights and Outlooks”.

The German Bundestag is inviting all citizens to this two-day festive programme to mark the end of the anniversary year ‘75 years of democracy alive!’.

Starting on Friday, 6 September, the citizens' festival will take place around the Bundestag, offering a colourful programme of information, exchange, live music and food and drink.
On Saturday, 7 September, the Reichstag Building, the Paul Löbe House and the Marie-Elisabeth Lüders House will open their doors to visitors of all ages.
