A beautiful sandy beach with a sunbathing lawn and a cosy beer garden with a view of the water are the first things that catch the eye when you enter the grounds of the Strandbad Wendenschloss. The beer garden not only serves delicious chips, but also tarte flambée and bowls, as well as the Wendenschloss veal schnitzel, homemade cakes and good coffee.
The beach bar is open several times a month on Saturdays from 6 pm. Then you can listen to a wide variety of music with a marvellous view of the Langen See and a drink in your hand.
For a day at the beach, you can hire beach chairs, loungers and parasols or play and sports equipment, pedal boats and SUP boards. And for those who want to get some exercise on land, there is beach volleyball, table tennis and a boules court.
On certain days, the open-air cinema is set up and films ranging from timeless classics to excellent indie films are shown.
For those who don't just like swimming and would like to spend a whole day on the water, we recommend Boatsverleih Flotte Dahme. Raft hire is available in various sizes. The equipment includes a toilet, of course, but also a barbecue or a Bluetooth box for a relaxing day on board.
And as the lido is also open in winter (please check the website beforehand), raft trips in the heated mulled wine raft are also offered and a Christmas market with an extensive programme and curling.
