For over ten years, electric bassist Achim Seifert, who was nominated for the Echo Jazz award in 2016 in the category "Best National Bassist," has been leading his Achim Seifert Project. "Dünyalar" is already the fourth album of this successful ensemble.

"The new album is an approach to my Turkish roots. Out of several hundred pieces, I selected these five and arranged them."

The songs feature a poetic sound language dominated by melody and rhythm, inspired by traditional Turkish music. The demanding grooves are interpreted by the Achim Seifert Project with a smooth ease that is catchy but also leaves room for improvisation—the musicians are fully aware of the songs' thematic background. The way traditional rhythms and melodies merge with the Western jazz world, supported by a top-notch band, is absolutely unique and captivating!

Achim Seifert is a German-Turkish bassist and composer. After spending his early youth playing experimental rock music, he eventually dedicated himself to jazz.
